My Story

In May 2013 I was happily riding home on my bicycle when I was hit by a car. I’ve been painting ever since and cannot seem to stop. Apparently, there is nothing like an unwelcome accident to unlock some of what lies inside. What began as a playful exploration of colour, light and texture has developed into a rich journey of discovery and expression. Trained as a teacher and counsellor, language has been my chief medium of insight and articulation. Fortunately, what ends up on canvas has little to do with the world of words. With this in mind, I will let the paintings speak for themselves. Enjoy.
